Redmond, Washington, is a fantastic city in King County. It’s home to the famous companies Nintendo of America and Microsoft. Redmond has over 60,000 citizens, and approximately 65 percent of adults possess a post-secondary degree. If you work in Seattle, you only need to take a 16-mile commute via vehicle or bus.
Redmond is known as the Northwest’s Bicycle Capital, which should delight you if you’re a fan of cycling. This city has Washington State’s only velodrome and holds yearly bike races on its streets. Redmond Town Center is a gorgeous outdoor shopping district. Its center has lighted fountains, and its structure mimics a coliseum. It has over 125 retailers and eateries. Next to Redmond Town Center, you'll find Redmond Saturday Market, one of the oldest farmers’ markets in the Seattle metropolitan area. As its name implies, it operates every Saturday from May to October. This community has more than 1,000 acres of public parks with Marymoor Park being one of its most popular ones. (Its velodrome happens to be located there.) The park has a rock climbing wall, a dog park, a model airplane flying field, and other amenities. You can watch Eastside Symphony performances at the Redmond Performing Arts Center. It showcases four programs per year that range from classic to modern works. Redmond has an excellent selection of great schools: three private schools, ten public elementary schools, three public middle schools, and two public high schools. There are also two post-secondary education institutions for adults.
The majority of real estate properties in Redmond are comprised of apartment complexes. Other types of homes in Redmond include single-family dwellings, small apartment buildings, mobile homes, and townhomes. Most Redmond properties have an average of two bedrooms, and most of them were constructed during the years 1970-1999.
