Kenmore, Washington, is a city in King County. It’s sometimes called Kenmore by the Lake due to its proximity to Lake Washington. The community was founded in 1901, though it wasn’t incorporated as a city until 97 years later. Kenmore has a population of over 22,000 residents.

Kenmore is a unique city because it’s an all-in-one freshwater industrial port/bedroom community. Since it’s close to Lake Washington, this town is a popular spot for watching blue herons. (The blue heron happens to be the official city bird.) Lake Washington is also where you’ll find locals engaging in water sports like paddleboarding and boating. The city has many beautiful parks with a popular one being Saint Edward State Park. With a space of 316 acres, it’s the largest park in the community; it was once a seminary, and it’s known for its large playground and reservable dining hall. Saint Edward State Park is home to the Kenmore Summer Concert Series, which takes place in July and August. The Burke-Gilman Trail is 18 miles long and runs from Seattle to Bothell. You can use this trail to travel to other adjacent communities for running errands or just for exploring. You’ll find the Kenmore Art Gallery at City Hall. Its gallery offers volunteer opportunities if you want to help out. Schools in Kenmore include four elementary schools, two middle schools, one high school, and a university.

The real estate properties in Kenmore consist of apartments, single-family dwellings, townhomes, and mobile homes. The homes in Kenmore have an average of three bedrooms, and many of them were built during the mid/late 20th century. This town is also a family-friendly one because children and teens make up about 24 percent of the population. Make the decision to move to Kenmore.
